Plainedge:
The Plainedge PTA Council will be hosting its annual
“Meet the Candidate
Night” ~
Monday, May 8,
2006
Plainedge High School
Board
Room
8:00
p.m.
This event will
provide the community with an opportunity to meet the candidates
running for the three open seats on our Board of Education. As there are several
candidates this year, we will be changing the procedure on how we
compile questions posed by the community. Questions for the Board of
Education Candidates to answer will be submitted prior to that night
so that they can be prescreened for: legibility, repetition, and
inappropriate content.
We have implemented an e-mail address for questions to be
sent. If you have any
questions that you would like presented on the evening of May
8th, please send them to:

If you do not have
access to a computer or would prefer to submit a question in writing
you may write it on an index card and place it in an envelope marked
Meet the Candidate Night PTA Council and place it in the PTA mailbox
of your school. Please
include your name and address, together with your questions. All questions, must be
submitted no later than May 2, 2006.
Each candidate will be
given a 2 minute opening statement and then we will begin to answer
questions. A moderator
has been supplied by the New York State PTA ~ Nassau Region. A time keeper will also be
appointed.
